A faster path to manifesting what you want.

If you haven’t noticed already, the “choice” thing is something I cover quite a bit. 

It’s not just because I wrote a book about it. And It’s not just because I like talking about the same thing over and over again. 

I talk, coach and teach about the power of choice—because it’s the #1 thing that can transform your life with the least amount of effort, struggle or frustration.

Once you learn what exactly to do with the power of choice—manifesting what you want gets a whole lot easier and more enjoyable. 

And the super quickie manifesting 101 lesson is this—manifesting is nothing more than matching your energy (thoughts and feelings) to what you want.

It’s having healthy feelings about money, wealth and prosperity—if you want more prosperity.

It’s about having good feelings and thoughts about your body—if you want a healthy body. 

Getting what you want (manifesting) is nothing more than CHOOSING WHAT TO THINK AND FEEL  and holding that consistently and truthfully. 

Let me ask you a couple questions . . . 

When was the last time someone forced you to feel a certain way?

When was the last time someone forced you to think a certain thought? 

The answer is never!

We may think someone makes us feel and think a certain way—but the 100% truth (and yes, sometimes the truth hurts a little) is that WE are the ones responsible for what we think and how we feel. 

And what we think and feel are choices—that are either moving us closer to more travel, a rockin’ healthy body and our soulmate finding us. Or not. 

So this awareness will either make you 1. Giddy, excited, thrilled to know you have a certain degree of control (although I don’t like that word)  over certain things in your life or 2. Freaked out to know that you have a certain degree of control over how things go in your life. 

When this idea truly sinks in for people and when they truly grasp how much power they have when they become accountable to what they think and how they feel—this is when things get fun. 

It’s when doors open, magic happens and lives are transformed. 

And thats not to say there won’t be ANY uncomfortableness along your path to creating your dreams, desires and goals.  But the whole “no pain, no gain” thing—is not required when you want to shift something in your life.

Sometimes when we are learning to THINK AND FEEL differently about money, health, work (any topic really) —we need to put a bit more effort into replacing beliefs and feelings that DON’T SERVE WHAT WE WANT and replace them with thoughts and feelings that do. 

Simple? YES. Easy? Not always. 

But what I tell my clients who are really determined and ready for a big change is this—

  • you won’t get there unless you’re clear about what you want
  • you won’t get there if you’re wishy-washy with your energy
  • you won’t get there by focusing on what you DON’T want (the key to manifesting is to put the primary focus on what’s wanted, not what’s missing)
  • you definitely won’t get there by staying stuck in your old story about your life, your problems and your “lack of”  (whether is be money, love, health, happiness) In other words, it may be 100% true, real and painful for you to recall and talk about your past and how it impacts your ability to be positive—but that is a story that you are choosing to repeat. The question  is . . . how is it serving you in getting what you want in life? 

If you simply remember and practice these key points—you’ll have the ability to change almost anything you want. 

You can attract more peace with your energy. 

You can attract more love with your energy. 

You can attract more health, wealth and happiness with your energy. 

And yep . . . it’s absolutely your choice.

The pressure to do it all

I have gone back and forth about a gazillion times trying to choose what topic to write about today. 

And I know it’s not a bad case of “the Fridays.” (on a Tuesday)

It has nothing to do with being distracted. It’s gotta do with a minor “growth bump.” (the spiritual version of a speed bump : )

There’s a feeling of vulnerability in my life right now—that’s new to me. Not that I haven’t felt vulnerable before, but this one is a bit different.

So I started thinking about what has changed. Things are better actually. Things are percolating. Those things I asked to manifest—are manifesting.

So why the twinge of vulnerability + uncomfortableness?

I am feeling  at  bit of pressure. Pressure to provide content that is life changing, world rocking and DEEP.  And pressure to keep up, to do it all, be it all and have it all. 

And then I said to myself . . . . . “Oh stop it Carrie!”

Stop with that unnecessary self indulgent pressure.

Stop with thinking that it’s even about me!

Stop worrying about getting it right, getting it done and especially, about changing the world.

Just relax and enjoy it.

Do we really need to have it all, be it all and do it all?  I think not. I think the day to day journey and the experiences we create—are the true gifts.

Those  life experiences that fill us up, enrich us and make us feel alive from head to toe—that’s what it’s all about.

And in all honesty, does the world even need changing? I don’t think so. I think our view towards the world could use a bit of care and consideration though. 

It doesn’t benefit any of us to see the world (or our lives) as broken, needing to be fixed or not enough.

It matters that we focus on what’s good and nurture the vibration of “what’s right and good” and not “what’s wrong and horrible.”  (our culture loves to focus on what’s wrong…and hows’ that working out?)

We need to get back to feeling good and focusing on the fact that we are vibrational beings, living in a vibrational world.

Your vibe = Your life.  And your vibe = your choice.

Therefore, your life = your choices ( it’s like an algebra problem, but without numbers! )

I’ll keep saying it over and over again. You may not have a choice with every little thing that happens in life—but you always have a choice in how you feel, what you think and how you react to things.

That’s where the magic happens. It’s where you can start creating miracles out of thin air.

Possible? Absolutely (But only if you think it is. You’ve got to at least have a tiny glimmer of hope that it’s possible for you.)

And the spiritual growth bump I mentioned earlier—it’s simply a beautiful reminder of being on track.

When we desire changes in our lives—improved relationships, a new career, more happiness, better health—we will almost always go through  bit of discomfort when going through those changes. These spiritual growth bumps (or hurdles, changes, roadblocks) are simply loving reminders from the universe that we are on track, growing and getting closer to our dreams and desires.

Because we aren’t here to be bored, to feel stuck or miserable. We aren’t here to be unhappy.

We are meant to enjoy life. We are meant to grow, to seek and to feel FRISKY AND ALIVE!

What’s your Eiffel tower?

Yes, that is me right there in front the Eiffel tower with my lovely daughters. 

One of my bucket list items was to take them to France and Italy for a couple weeks and it was such an incredible experience.  

I have a thing for France (I am there yearly)  but this was my girls first time to get to experience the whole European thing. 

It was truly a memory I will cherish FOREVER! (thank you God)

Some people may look at this and think “great, its easy for her . . . she has money”  or “how self-serving” and even “that won’t ever happen for me.” 

I so get this, because I used to think and say those things (and in fact, sometimes I slip and find myself falling back into patterns that don’t help me live to my full potential)

But the truth is—I didn’t get to the Eiffel tower, to spending weeks in Europe and having incredible relationships and experiences—by coming up with great excuses and justifications. 

I worked on my shit.

I healed the places that were stuck, dark, angry and just plain icky. 

We can’t get to our next “level” of growth and awareness if we are stuck in patterns that were responsible for getting us there in the first place. 

Simply, we need to change if we want things to change. And it’s really not that hard.

Scary? Maybe a little. 

But whats worse? Stretching to a new level and feeling some discomfort along the way—with the hope of creating new, great things in your life.

Or……playing it safe, staying where you are because it’s “a sure thing, ” safe or comfortable. 

What feels better? What feels worse? 

All it takes to live a life you really want—is to consciously know what it is you desire, write it down, nurture is like a tiny baby kitten and then get (and STAY) excited about that tiny baby kitten (which is the love, the travel, the experiences, the new home, the healed relationship with your mom)

You can’t expect to get to Paris, when your stuck in Wal-mart (no disrespect if you’re a Wal-Mart lover—it just creates a feeling of “lack of” whenever I have ventured in there)

You can’t expect to feel high energy and on top of the world, when your feelings and beliefs have you feeling buried. 

You cant have a ton of $$ in your bank account when you FEEL broke. 

You start the process of living an exquisite life by actually starting to live like you have one. 

But how? How do you get from feeling mostly burnout to feeling beautiful? 

You take baby steps and you are relentless about doing nothing other than working on feeling good, feeling better and being clear about your desires. You gotta know what it is you want first, then you gotta learn to be a vibrational match to that thing.

Then you sit back, chill-ax and know it’s coming (but you cant get irritated + annoyed if you think you’re not getting it when you want it…you can’t fall into that trap)

Most people won’t be able to jump from broke to billion, so you start one day at a time, choose your thoughts, feelings and actions to line up with your Eiffel tower—that thing that truly lights you up and that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.

The things we fear the most . . .

Are the very things we need to experience and move through in order to get to the happy, connecting, real and beautiful elements of our lives that WE HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR.  Sometime you may have to S-T-R-E-T-C-H out beyond your comfort zone in order to get that next thing on your wish list.

When reflecting back over this last year—there have been a few eensie weensie (understatement) growing pains in my life.

(And there were massive, super-wow, incredible, joy-filled moments of bliss, connection, beauty and truth)

There was the discomfort of knowing that I wanted certain things, but was truly afraid to admit it to myself.

Who am I to want…..this?

Who am I to deserve………that?

There was the fear that no matter what I did—it wouldn’t be good enough. EVER.

There was the fear I wouldn’t finish it.

There was the confusion over HOW to do it.

There were the comparisons and the negative chatter of my runaway brain.

There were moments I wanted to quit, hide, run and be a big cry baby ( or just have a good cry)

There were moments I felt guilty, ashamed, stuck and unheard.

And then, I surrendered to all of it and just said ……OK.

BRING IT.

And in return, I won’t give into fear. I will choose love and I will choose faith.

I brought an attitude of “this or something even better please” over “oh shit, not this again!”

I never took my eyes off of what I asked for.

Unwavering (and still scared)

In moving through the seemingly insurmountable mountains that life sometimes places in our path—is the beauty inherent in the mountain.

Is the beauty in the struggle.

Is the light in the darkness.

Is the “BIG A-HA” waiting for us on the other side of the challenge, when we get to see what we are really made of and just how magnificent and powerful we are.

I know, this isn’t a major new idea…….that great things can come from the not so great things, but I just wanted to share(from a very real, heartfelt place) just how incredible it is when you surrender, know you’re love and just simply be that.

It doesn’t have to be such a big, hairy deal—life.

It’s all ok. It’s better than ok. In fact, it’s what we make it.

It all comes down to a choice.

The choice to live in fear. Or the choice to live in LOVE.

I choose love. And super-wow.

4 keys to creating a high vibration (aligned energy)

High vibration, good energy, law of attraction . . . these are common things you may hear about in the world of personal  images-11improvement + spiritual development.

But just what exactly are these things and why do they matter? How can they help you attract abundance, be happier and find love?

In a nutshell . . .

Nobel prize winning physicists  have proven beyond doubt that the physical world we see (our bodies, a tree, a slice of pizza, a bird) are all energy forms that come in and out of our awareness in milliseconds—over and over again.

We live in a  giant sea of energy.

They have also proven that our thoughts are what give these objects we “see” meaning. In other words, thoughts are things. Thoughts create what we see—our reality.

Now, this is a very rudimentary explanation of the process….and one can certainly go further down the rabbit hole, but the point is—YOU create and shape your reality by what you choose to think  and also what you choose to feel.

These thoughts and feelings are your vibration.

Consider yourself like one giant magnet, attracting to you similar vibrations and energies that you are giving off.   This is the basic premise of law of attraction—you attract what you give off.

Ever notice how the most joyful, carefree people seem to have joy filled, carefree lives? And those who complain and focus on the negative tend to attract things to complain and be negative about?

Some people like to call it high vibration or good energy. For me, I like to call it aligned energy—this is where my energy is aligned with what I love, what makes me feel good and what keeps me attracting things I want in my life.  Because the truth is, whether you call it high, good or aligned energy—it’s all about you finding out what it means for you. You may feel your energy is more aligned when you walk in nature, whereas for the next person, it may be playing their guitar or taking a nap.

It’s simple, and complex at the same time, because most people aren’t truly aware of just exactly what sort of vibration they are 544bd1db18cecdca3b92642eputting out into the world, on a consistent basis.

You see, with energy and vibration, it’s  about consistency.

Most of us don’t really take time to think about it in our busy lives.  We just get on the hamster wheel of life and go throughout our days, week, and years, unaware of the fact that we may have underlying feelings about money that are really holding us back from attracting the prosperity  that we desire.  And its the same with any topic—be it health, happiness or love.

So the main key to creating a higher vibration— is to become aware of it.

Here are 4 key strategies to increasing your awareness about your energy/vibration

  1. Keep a journal. Take time ( 5-10 minutes is fine) to sit down and write.  You don’t have to have a specific topic in mind, just write.  Get in the habit of putting what’s in your head + heart down on paper.  This is one way to start to realize what you are thinking and feeling.  It’s one way to get more in touch with what things are really on your mind.  You may have a tendency to burry things and hide from uncomfortable feelings, so writing and journaling about them is a great way to get it out. Journaling has changed my life and helped my to become much more aware of what I am truly feeling and therefore putting out into the sea of energy we call life.
  2. Breathe.  Most of us go throughout the day shallow breathing. Learning to be more conscious about your breath and taking longer, deeper breaths throughout the day, is a quick fix to getting in touch with your energy and also instantly raising it.
  3. Alone time.  Make a habit (daily if you can) of taking time to meditate, or get out in nature, go fishing, do some yoga, . . . whatever it takes for you to unplug from the noisy world and just be in the stillness.  This is critical for you to become—not only aware of your energy—but to learn to shift it into a more balance, aligned energy.
  4. Be honest about your life. Do you have what you want? Are you happy?  The biggest clue as to the true energy you are putting out in the world–is to take a look at your life from a very real, honest place. Are you where you want to be? If not, change your energy, to change your results.  If we continually  have chaos..thats a pretty good indication our energy is not aligned.  If you continually experience happiness, you are on track. Keep it up!

Why do you need a high vibration or aligned energy?

You need this if  you want to learn to be an active co-creator in your life, rather than feeling life just happens to you.

If you really have a true desire to find true inner happiness, love and prosperity in your life—understanding the basics of vibration + energy is a good place to start.

Plus, learning to master what you think and how you feel—just feels better!

And, like my favorite spiritual teachers say—Life is supposed to feel good.
